Training and certification in this area is for those who fuel and maintain propane vehicle fleets such as taxis, police cars and various types of corporate fleets, or those who convert these vehicles from gasoline to propane power. You will receive training in the inspection and conversion of highway vehicles and safe refuelling of motor fuel tanks.
Course Number 100-02 This course covers the physical properties of propane, descriptions of filling plants and motor fuel tanks and auto propane tank filling procedures. The course manual can be used for either trainer-led instruction or self-study exam preparation. Highway Vehicle Conversion & Inspection Course Number: 200-01 Receive training in the inspection and installation of propane fuel systems and tanks on highway vehicles and the minimum requirements of the B149.5-05 Installation Code for Propane Fuel Systems and Tanks on Highway Vehicles. This course is delivered through post-secondary technical training schools. Visual Re-Inspection of ASME Containers on Highway Vehicles Course Number: 200-02 The B149.5-05 Installation Code for Propane Fuel Systems and Tanks on Highway Vehicles requires a five-year visual inspection and re-qualification of propane motor fuel and vapour tanks on highway vehicles. The course reflects these requirements.
